Our second shop · Devyn's hometown

Camas

Camas is where Dev's went from a tiny Orchards kiosk to a real coffee shop. In 2021 we signed a lease on a building that was, honestly, in rough shape. The owner basically handed us the keys and said do whatever you want, so we did. With almost no capital and everything on the line, Austin and Devyn gutted it, rebuilt it, and poured every ounce of sweat into bringing the space back to life. It was our first real build from nothing, and we learned more than we ever thought we could.

Ask us about the night before we opened. Austin was dialing in the brand new espresso machine, brushed a ground wire the wrong way, and fried the motherboard less than a day before our first customer. So he drove nearly to the Canadian border and back, six hours up and six hours down, grabbed a new board, and had the machine humming again by morning. We opened on time, and honestly it made the whole thing feel more like us.

This one is personal. Devyn was born and raised in Camas, so putting down roots in her hometown means the world to us. Today it is our busiest and most loved shop, and we think you will feel why the moment you walk in.

Home · A restored 1928 church

Battle Ground

Battle Ground is home. Austin was born and raised here, so when we got a call asking if we wanted to take over this spot, right after closing another business and nowhere near ready to buy, we still could not say no. It lives inside a beautiful old church right on Main Street, and we pulled out every stop we had to make it ours.

The building has deep roots in this town. Battle Ground's Sacred Heart Catholic community dates all the way back to an 1877 mission, and in 1928 volunteers from the congregation built this very church by hand on Main Street. Sacred Heart became a full parish here in 1940 and worshipped in the building until the congregation outgrew it and built a new church across town in 1970. In the decades since, the old church passed through several hands before we found it, tired but full of character, and gave it new life.

We opened in August of 2022, about a month and a half after our son Hayden was born on July 11th, so life was a beautiful whirlwind. The space needed love, so we gave it plenty. Austin rebuilt the entire counter, redid the lighting and paint, and we added a giant Sasquatch piece across the back wall of the old sanctuary, wrapped by our good friends at Opaque Screen Printing. It turned out absolutely stunning.

This is our sit-down shop, built for slowing down. Grab a seat inside the old church, soak in that warm Pacific Northwest vibe, and stay a while. Prefer to keep rolling? Order ahead in the app and we will run it out to your car.
